I am bringing it in to my girls groups tomorrow and was looking for this scene, so googled the words and the first hit was your blog! It was such a pleasant surprise! I miss you lots, and keep up the good work to all of you!

RachaelUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04004337878796863686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-76238034031929881812009-11-10T00:03:44.980-06:002009-11-10T00:03:44.980-06:00@Amelia

I don't think I've posted anything from Until Someone Wakes Up before.

If it helps you remember, I know they perform Until Someone Wakes Up at my undergrad (Hamline University where Carolyn Levy teaches) every fall for the incoming students. I think students/universitys can use the script for free as long as it's for rape prevention/awareness. You might want to look into performing it at Knox (assuming you've got massive free time on your hands).lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13285797515594923013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-54377869130610525912009-11-09T23:58:21.201-06:002009-11-09T23:58:21.201-06:00the one problem with the analogy being that it is ...the one problem with the analogy being that it is visually obvious when a coffee cup is full

Well, not really. The waiter doesn't say, "I'm going to pour until the cup is visually full." The waiter says, "Just say when." It's dependent on when the woman says when. It's dependent on the woman's continual consent to the coffee pouring, not when the cup "looks satisfied."lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13285797515594923013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-89365470913384139292009-11-09T21:24:18.889-06:002009-11-09T21:24:18.889-06:00Where have I seen this before? I've lately been having an unusual number of discussions about consent with people who don't identify as feminists. This is, indeed, a good analogy.Ameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10884754298018500343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-65642089899974189962009-11-09T16:53:40.286-06:002009-11-09T16:53:40.286-06:00I think it's a great analogy! Yes -- that's pretty crucial and even he probably be shocked by anyone who thought you could just sneak up on someone and pour her a coffee. Did he respect his customer's decision? Not at all.

figleaffigleafhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01440982008394316977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-86254807161481463672009-11-09T16:04:56.143-06:002009-11-09T16:04:56.143-06:00the one problem with the analogy being that it is ...the one problem with the analogy being that it is visually obvious when a coffee cup is fullAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6730657139931062421.post-59507236612244312322009-11-09T07:44:34.793-06:002009-11-09T07:44:34.793-06:00That's a good analogy. That's a good analogy.Sarangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03545162612237984546noreply@blogger.com
