A Thought on Defining Feminism
I watched Little Children last night, a very intense movie about the confinment of life in the suburbs. The movie was harsh and sad, but it gave a thought-provoking defintion of feminism:
"It's the hunger - the hunger for an alternative and the refusal to accept a life of unhappiness."

ReplyDeleteAn incredible film. That line always stuck with me because it comes from a complex scene, but it's true. Why waste away and fill the roll (in this case, the bored, suburban housewife) they want you to when you could have it so much better?
